Almond Cake

Ingredients

4 pieces Egg, fresh

100 g Sugar, white

170 g Nuts, almonds

2 teaspoons Orange, shell

0.25 teaspoons Spices, cardamom

1 teaspoon Baking powder

1 teaspoon Vinegar, apple

1 pinch Salt, table

0.5 spoons Butter, unsalted

Crack the eggs and separate the yolks and whites into two bowls. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Line the bottom of a cake pan (23 cm in diameter) with parchment paper. Grease the pan well with butter. In a bowl, mix the ground almonds, orange zest, cardamom, and baking powder.

Add half of the sugar to the bowl with the yolks and mix with an electric mixer until a light, foamy mixture forms. Gradually fold in the mixture of ground almonds, baking powder, and spices.

Start beating the egg whites on low speed. When bubbles begin to form, add a pinch of salt and vinegar. Just before the egg whites form stiff peaks, add the remaining sugar. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the egg-almond mixture in three additions using a hand whisk or spatula.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.

Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan.

Carefully remove the cooled cake from the pan, transfer it to a serving plate, and cut into desired-sized pieces. Serve on plates and enjoy.
