American Coleslaw
There are many explanations about the origin of the name of this salad. The most likely one is that the word coleslaw (also cole slaw) is an anglicized Dutch word koolsla - an abbreviation for the word koolsalade (meaning cabbage salad in Slovenian). Clean the cabbage and slice it thinly (you can also grate it). Clean the carrots, peel them with a knife if necessary, and wash them. Grate them finely. Peel the onion and cut it in half. Slice both halves thinly.

Place the sliced salad in a large salad bowl. In a small bowl, prepare the dressing from mayonnaise, yogurt, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix all the ingredients well. Pour the prepared dressing over the vegetables and mix everything well. Rinse the parsley under running water, dry it, and chop it finely. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the salad and serve the prepared salad.
