Ingredients
-
250 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
2 teaspoons Baking powder
-
130 g Powdered sugar
-
1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
65 g Butter, unsalted
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
150 ml Milk, whole milk
-
3 pieces Apples, rose
-
0.5 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
1.5 spoons Powdered sugar
-
1 teaspoon Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grease a round 20 cm cake pan well. Peel the apples and cut them into quarters. Remove the cores and slice the quarters into thinner slices. Melt the butter in a small cup. Once the butter has melted, set the cup aside and let the butter cool slightly.
-
Sift the flour into a bowl and mix it with baking powder, powdered sugar, and ground cinnamon. In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, and melted butter (reserve 1 tablespoon of butter!). Pour the mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix everything well to form a smooth batter without lumps.
-
Pour the prepared batter into the greased pan. Gently shake the pan to evenly distribute the batter. Arrange the apple slices on top of the batter. Brush the apple slices with the melted butter and sprinkle them evenly with ground cinnamon. Place the pan in the preheated oven for about 45 to 50 minutes. The cake is done when the surface turns golden brown, and a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
-
Let the baked cake cool and sprinkle it with powdered sugar. Cut the cake into pieces of your desired size, serve on a plate, and enjoy.
