Ingredients
-
12 pieces Apples, rose
-
85 g Sugar, white
-
pieces Juice, lemon
-
100 g Sugar, brown
-
50 g Honey
-
180 g Butter, unsalted
-
300 g Oat bran, raw
-
150 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
100 g Nuts, almonds, blanched
-
1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground
Steps
-
Wash the apples, peel them, and cut them into quarters. Remove the stems and cores, then slice the quarters into chunks.
-
Place the apple chunks into a larger pot. Pour lemon juice over them and sprinkle with sugar. Cook the apple chunks over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften (about 5 minutes). If the sugar starts to burn, add a little water to the pot.
-
While cooking the apples, melt butter, sugar, and honey in a small bowl while stirring. Once all the sugar has dissolved and a uniform mixture is formed, remove the bowl from the heat. Mix in cinnamon, flour, oats, and almond flakes.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. First, place the apples into a deep baking dish. Cover them with the mixture of sugar, butter, oats, honey, cinnamon, and almond flakes. Place the dish in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until the top layer becomes crispy.
-
Serve the warm dessert on plates and accompany it with whipped cream, a scoop of ice cream, or Greek yogurt.
