Ingredients
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
-
750 g Dough, puff
-
1 kg Apple, fresh
-
400 g Blackberries, fresh
-
120 g Sugar, white
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
2 spoons Koruzni škrob
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
pieces Sugar, white
Steps
-
Grease a round pie dish (24 cm in diameter) with butter and lightly dust it with flour (remove any excess flour).
-
Take 1/3 of the total amount of dough to create two pieces of dough - one larger and one smaller. Roll out the larger piece on a lightly floured surface into a large circle, then transfer it to the prepared pie dish and gently press it against the bottom and sides of the dish. Leave the dough hanging over the edge of the dish untouched. Store the pie dish with the dough in the refrigerator.
-
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Wash the apples, cut them in half, core them, and slice them. Place the apple slices in a microwave-safe bowl and heat them in the microwave for 3 minutes on high. Mix the heated apple slices with 2/3 of the blackberries, cinnamon, sugar, and cornstarch.
-
Take the pie dish with the dough out of the refrigerator and prick the dough in several places with a fork. Evenly distribute the fruit over the dough and sprinkle the reserved blackberries on top. Roll out the smaller piece of dough on a lightly floured surface into a square, approximately 30 x 30 cm. Cut the square into 8 strips and arrange them in a lattice pattern over the filling, leaving about 1.5 cm of space between the strips. Trim the dough strips hanging over the edge of the dish so that only 2 cm of the strips hang over. Use the excess dough from the base and the strips hanging over the edge to form a decorative border.
-
Brush the lattice and the edge of the pie with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar. Place the pie in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees Celsius. After 20 minutes of baking, remove the pie dish from the oven and protect the edge of the pie with aluminum foil. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for another 30 to 40 minutes.
-
Let the baked pie cool in the dish for 30 minutes, then carefully remove it from the dish and place it on a nice plate or platter. Serve it while still warm or let it cool completely before serving.

Sweet shortcrust pastry can be bought or made at home. Serve the pie with whipped cream or a scoop of good ice cream.
