Ingredients
-
1 piece Dough, puff
-
1 piece Apple, fresh
-
3 spoons Cranberries, dried
-
2 spoons Walnuts
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
60 g Sugar, white
-
0.5 teaspoons Koruzni škrob
-
60 ml Juice, apple
-
0.5 teaspoons Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
2 spoons Milk, whole milk
Steps
-
Peel the apple and remove the stem and core. Cut it into small pieces. Place the pieces in a bowl and mix them with cranberries, walnuts, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Then mix the ingredients with apple cider and vanilla extract.
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius, and line a low baking tray with parchment paper. Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into equal-sized squares (the sides of the squares should be between 10 and 12 cm). In a small bowl, beat the egg and mix it with milk. Brush the edges of the squares with the beaten egg, and spoon the apple filling onto the center. Fold the squares diagonally to form triangular pockets. Press the edges with a fork, and brush the tops of the pockets with the beaten egg.
-
Transfer the prepared pockets to the baking tray and place it in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. The pockets are done when they puff up and turn golden brown on top.
