Apple Pudding Cake

Ingredients

2 bags Pudding, vanilla

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line the bottom of a round cake pan with parchment paper.

Separate the egg whites and yolks into two bowls. Add a pinch of salt to the egg whites and beat them into stiff peaks. Add sugar to the yolks and whisk until frothy. Sift the flour into the beaten yolks, then gently and slowly fold in the egg whites in two or three additions.

Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Let the baked sponge cake cool completely.

Wash, peel, and coarsely grate the apples. Add them to a pot along with sugar, ground cinnamon, and 300 ml of water, and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Mix the pudding powder smoothly with 100 ml of water. Stir the mixture into the pot with the apples and cook the pudding while constantly stirring for 3 minutes or until thickened.

Pour the hot pudding over the cooled sponge cake. Smooth the top and let it cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate the dessert for a few hours (or overnight).

Before serving, decorate the cake with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
