Apple Terrine
Apple terrine does not contain eggs, flour, or sugar. In fact, we only need two ingredients to prepare it - apples and butter, and optionally, a pinch of chosen spices for flavor and aroma. The dessert is light, juicy, and so good that one piece will definitely not be enough.

Ingredients
-
1 kg Apple, fresh
-
50 g Butter, unsalted
-
pieces Spices, cinnamon, ground
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a deep rectangular baking dish with butter. Take a larger piece of parchment paper and line the bottom and sides of the dish. It is important that one part of the paper hangs over the edge of the dish, as we will use it to cover the apples. In a small saucepan, slowly melt the butter over low heat.
-
Wash, peel, and core the apples. Cut them in half and slice them into 3 to 4 mm thick slices (you can use a mandoline for this). It is recommended that the apple slices are as evenly thick as possible.
-
Layer the apple slices in the baking dish. Drizzle each layer with a little melted butter, and optionally season with a pinch of spices (cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla). Once the dish is filled to the top, cover the last layer of apples with parchment paper. Then, wrap the entire dish in aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven for 105 minutes.
-
Remove the dish from the oven and carefully remove the aluminum foil. Open the apples slightly to release the steam, then cover them again with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for another 105 minutes.
-
Take the apple terrine out of the oven and let it cool in the dish for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the parchment paper from the top and carefully invert the terrine onto a plate. Slice it into evenly thick pieces, serve on plates, decorate as desired, and enjoy.

Advice
A scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, or Greek yogurt pairs perfectly with this dessert. Optionally, decorate the dessert with caramelized nuts.
