Apricot Jam Without Sugar
Juicy and fragrant ripe apricots… Their intoxicating aroma and taste often make us want to preserve them in jars for cold winter days, bringing us back to warm summer mornings when we enjoyed bread with butter and apricot jam on the terrace. This time, I suggest a very simple recipe for homemade apricot jam without added sugar, which can also be a great addition to smoothies, morning porridge, and baby food.
Details
- Preparation Time: 30 minutes
- Cooking Time: 40 minutes
- Difficulty: 1
- Spiciness: 0
- Number of Servings: 12
Ingredients
- 3 kg Apricot, raw
Steps
-
Wash the apricots and cut them in half. Remove the pits and place the halves in a baking dish.
-
Place the baking dish with the apricots in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees Celsius, for at least 40 minutes. Stir the fruit occasionally. During baking, the apricots will caramelize nicely, and their natural sugars will be released.
-
Blend the baked apricots with an immersion blender until smooth. If the jam seems too thin, cook it in a pot on the stove until it reaches the desired thickness.
-
Pour the cooked jam into clean, sterilized jars, seal them tightly with lids, wrap them in a towel, and let them cool slowly. Once cooled, store the jars in a cool, dark, and dry place.
