Atomic Apple Strudel
When preparing this pastry, most of your work will involve just grating the apples. You wont need a scale, as you can measure the ingredients using a yogurt cup. Once everything is prepared, youll understand why this pastry falls into the "piece of cake" category of desserts. Besides being so simple, its also very juicy and exceptionally tasty.

Ingredients

250 ml Milk, whole milk

250 ml Sweet cream

3 pieces Egg, fresh

1 spoon Sugar, white

0.75 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground

Steps

Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Add the breadcrumbs and sugar, and mix the dry ingredients well.

Wash the apples (peel them if desired) and grate them into the bowl. Season them with cinnamon, vanilla sugar, and lemon juice. Mix everything well.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a smaller deep baking dish well with butter (or margarine). Pour 1/3 of the dry mixture into it and spread it evenly across the bottom of the dish. Then spread 1/2 of the grated apples over the dry ingredients (do not squeeze them!). Follow with another layer of dry ingredients and the remaining grated apples. Finish with a layer of dry ingredients.

In a bowl, smoothly mix the milk, cream, eggs, and sugar. Pierce the ingredients in the baking dish in several places with a fork or a narrow knife, then pour the prepared mixture over them. Wait a bit for the liquid to soak in, then place the dish in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Serve the pastry warm or cold, and dust it with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
