Autumn Eyes

Ingredients

500 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

200 g Sugar, white

1 bag Baking powder

2 piece Egg, fresh

1 dl Oil, vegetable oil, canola

1 dl Milk, skimmed

5 spoon Seeds, pumpkin

2 dl Syrup, sweet
Steps

Sift the flour into a large bowl. Add sugar and baking powder. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl, then mix in the oil and milk, and combine the wet ingredients well. Then mix the wet ingredients into the dry ones and knead into a smooth and pliable dough.

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius and prepare a baking tray lined with baking paper. Shape the dough into balls, slightly flattening them when placing them on the tray. Place the tray in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

Shortly before the end of baking, insert a pumpkin seed into the center of each cookie. Place the baked cookies on a cooling rack. Prepare a separate bowl with food coloring or orange syrup. Dip each cookie into the prepared liquid.

Arrange the prepared cookies on a platter and serve to guests.
