Ingredients
Butter crumbs
-
70 g Walnuts
-
175 g Flour, Whole wheat
-
0.5 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
90 g Butter, unsalted
-
80 g Sugar, brown
-
1 handful Walnuts
-
500 g Apples, rose
-
pieces Lemon zest, fresh
-
30 g Butter, unsalted
-
3 spoons Sugar, brown
-
pieces Juice, lemon
-
500 g Pear, fresh
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Wash and peel the apples and pears. Cut the fruits in half and remove all seeds, stems, and cores. Slice the halves into equally sized pieces.
-
Place the apple pieces in a pan. Add lemon zest, sugar, butter, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes, then add the pears and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
-
Transfer the cooked fruit to a smaller deep baking dish (approximately 1.5 liters in volume). Use a spoon to spread it evenly in the dish.
-
In a bowl, mix ground walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Add the cold butter, cut into pieces, to the mixture. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles crumbs. Coarsely chop the walnut kernels and mix them with the crumble. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the fruit in the baking dish. Place the dish in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until the crumble turns golden brown on top.
-
Let the prepared dessert cool in the dish for a few minutes. Serve warm on plates with ice cream or whipped cream.
