Ingredients
Filling
-
5 spoon Butter, unsalted
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
40 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
50 g Oat bran, raw
-
50 g Nuts, almonds
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
2 spoons Sugar, brown
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
pieces Apples, rose
Sauce
-
1 cup Sugar, brown
-
0.75 cups Water
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Wash the apples and remove the cores using a round corer (you can also use a spoon or knife). Be careful not to pierce through the apples. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
-
Mix the melted butter with the vanilla extract. In a bowl, combine the almond flakes, breadcrumbs, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour the melted butter over the mixture and stir well until you get a uniform mixture. Fill the cored apples to the top with this mixture.
-
Place the stuffed apples in a suitably sized deep baking dish. On the stove, place a small saucepan with water and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring, then pour it over the stuffed apples. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, basting the apples several times with the sauce that forms in the dish during baking.
-
Serve the still-warm apples on plates. Pour the sauce from the baking dish over them and serve.
