Baked Bananas with Orange Sauce
Baked bananas are an excellent choice for those moments when you want to quickly prepare something sweet. A scoop of cold vanilla ice cream pairs perfectly with the bananas, and for a healthier and lighter version, you can substitute it with a dollop of Greek yogurt.

Ingredients

4 pieces Banana, fresh

60 g Butter, unsalted

50 dag Sugar, white

pieces Juice, orange

0.5 teaspoons Orange, shell

Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise. Then cut each half in half again, so you get four pieces from each banana.

Melt the butter in a wide and shallow pan. Add the sugar and stir for about 2 minutes until it heats up and dissolves. Then add the banana pieces to the pan and bake them for 3 to 4 minutes until they are nicely caramelized. Turn them once in between.

Once the bananas are caramelized, pour the orange juice into the pan and add the orange zest. Cook on high heat for another 4 minutes, turning the bananas once more.

First, place the bananas on plates. Pour the orange sauce over them and serve with a dollop of whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or Greek yogurt.
