Ingredients
-

-
200 g Beans, grains
-
150 g Beans, grains
-
1 piece Spices, bay (leaves)
-
0.5 piece Onion, raw
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Spices, paprika
-
100 g Meat, pork, smoked bacon
-
200 g Cheese, feta
-
5 pieces Egg, fresh
-
150 ml Milk, whole milk
-
pieces Parsley, fresh
-
pieces Salt, table
Steps
-
Drain the soaked beans, transfer them to a larger pot, and cover with cold water so that the water level is at least three fingers above the beans. Bring to a boil. Drain the beans again, cover with an appropriate amount of cold water, and cook them together with a bay leaf, onion, and garlic until tender. Season the cooked beans with salt and drain.
-
Hard-boil three eggs, and save two for later. Peel the boiled eggs and slice them thickly. Cut the bacon into pieces and fry until crispy in a pan with a little oil. Rinse the parsley under running water, dry it, and chop it coarsely.
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grease a deep baking dish with oil, then layer the cooked beans, sliced boiled eggs, fried bacon, and crumbled cheese. Start and finish with a layer of cooked beans, sprinkling it with a little ground pepper and sweet paprika.
-
In a bowl, whisk the remaining eggs and lightly season with salt, then mix with milk and chopped parsley. Pour the mixture over the top layer of beans. Bake the assembled dish in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with bread and a bowl of salad.
