Ingredients
Meatballs
-
600 g Meat, chicken, breasts
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
100 g Meat, pork, smoked bacon
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
pieces Salt, table
-
pieces Breadcrumbs, dried
-
1.5 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
4 pieces Tomato, red
-
1 handful Parsley, fresh
Sirova omaka
-
40 g Butter, unsalted
-
30 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
500 ml Milk, whole milk
-
40 g Cheese, edamame
-
pieces Salt, table
Steps
-
Rinse the chicken meat under running water and dry it well with paper towels. Finely chop it or grind it in a food processor. Peel the onion and finely chop it along with the bacon.
-
Place the chopped or ground meat in a bowl and mix it with the onion, bacon, beaten egg, and seasonings. Knead the mixture well with clean hands to ensure the meat is evenly seasoned. If the mixture seems too soft, add some breadcrumbs.
-
With wet hands, shape the mixture into larger meatballs and fry them on all sides in a pan with heated oil.
-
Prepare the béchamel sauce in a saucepan. First, melt the butter and then add the flour. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes while constantly stirring, then slowly pour in the milk. Stir continuously while cooking to prevent lumps from forming. Once the béchamel thickens, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the grated cheese. Season the sauce with pepper, salt, and nutmeg to taste.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Pour the prepared sauce into a small deep baking dish, then arrange the fried meatballs and tomato halves on top. Place the dish in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
-
Once the dish is ready, sprinkle it with chopped parsley. Serve it with your chosen side dish.
