Ingredients
-
2 spoons Butter, unsalted
-
4 slice Bread, whole grain
-
4 pieces Egg, fresh
-
pieces Salt, table
-
pieces Cheese, edamame
Steps
-
Spread butter on both sides of the toast slices and place them on a greased baking dish. Use a round cutter (or a glass with a diameter of about 6 cm) to cut out a circle from the center of each slice. Place the cut-out circles on the baking dish next to the slices. Put the baking dish in the preheated oven for 6 minutes.
-
Remove the baking dish from the oven and flip the toast slices and cut-out circles. Carefully crack an egg into each cut-out hole and lightly season with pepper and salt. Return the baking dish to the preheated oven for 8 to 9 minutes, until the egg whites are set but the yolks remain runny. During the last minute of baking, you can sprinkle some grated or crumbled cheese over the eggs and toast.
