Baked Macaroni with Broccoli and Chicken
If you want to convince your kids to eat more vegetables, the best way is to hide them among tasty pasta. This dish is suitable for any day of the week, and you can add an extra serving of vegetables by pairing it with a large bowl of seasonal salad, which will also refresh the hearty pasta dish.

Ingredients

1 piece Broccoli, fresh

350 g Pasta, Macaroni

400 g Meat, chicken, breasts

1.5 spoons Oil, olive

2 spoons Butter, unsalted

3 spoons Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

500 ml Milk, whole milk

1 cup Cheese, edamame
Steps

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Clean the broccoli, rinse it, and separate it into florets. Cook the florets in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Once the broccoli softens slightly, remove it from the pot and drain. Salt the water and add the macaroni, cooking it for about one minute less than the time indicated on the package.

Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, season with salt and pepper, and quickly sauté them in a pan with a little oil.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter, then add the flour and cook for one minute, stirring until it turns golden brown. Remove from the heat and slowly pour in the milk while stirring. Return the saucepan to the heat and continue stirring until the béchamel sauce thickens. Then add salt, pepper, and nutmeg, and remove from the heat.

In a large bowl, combine the ingredients: drained pasta and broccoli, sautéed chicken pieces, 2/3 of the grated cheese, and the béchamel sauce. Add a little more salt and/or pepper if needed.

Lightly grease a baking dish with butter, then pour in the prepared mixture and sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
