Ingredients
-
600 g Meat, beef, ground
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
40 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
pieces Salt, table
-
700 g Tomato sauce, without salt
-
100 g Cheese, mozzarella
-
50 g Cheese, Parmesan, grated
Steps
-
Peel the garlic and onion, then finely chop them separately.
-
In a large bowl, place the ground meat and add the onion, garlic, beaten eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix the ingredients with clean hands to ensure the meat is evenly seasoned.
-
With wet hands, shape the prepared mixture into small balls, about the size of a ping pong ball. Place a pan on the stove and grease it with oil. Quickly sear the prepared meatballs on all sides in the hot oil. Cook them for about 3 to 4 minutes until they are nicely browned on the outside.
-
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Pour half of the sauce into a deep baking dish and spread it evenly over the entire surface. Add the seared meatballs and pour the remaining sauce over them. Sprinkle the top with shredded mozzarella mixed with grated Parmesan. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
-
After 30 minutes, uncover the dish and increase the temperature to 220 degrees Celsius. Bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is golden brown. Then remove the dish from the oven and serve the prepared meal with your chosen side dish.
