Baked Millet Porridge with Dried Fruit

250 g Millet, raw

1 l Milk, whole milk

1 pinch Salt, table

2 spoons Honey

250 g Dried plums

1 spoon Butter, unsalted

1 piece Egg, fresh

1.25 dl Sweet cream

0.5 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
Steps

Sort the millet, rinse it, and drain well. Place a pot with milk on the stove and lightly salt it. When the milk boils, add the drained millet and cook it slowly over low heat for about 20 minutes. Stir the porridge a few times while cooking. Once the porridge is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grease a deep, ovenproof baking dish well with butter. Mix the drained dried fruit and honey into the cooled porridge. In a bowl, whisk the egg with a hand whisk and mix it with sweet cream and cinnamon. Pour the porridge into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly with a spoon. Pour the prepared topping over it and bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, until the top turns golden brown.

Serve the baked millet porridge with dried fruit directly in the baking dish it was baked in.
