Ingredients
-
300 g Pasta, Macaroni
-
250 g Broccoli, fresh
-
25 g Butter, unsalted
-
25 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
600 ml Milk, whole milk
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
600 g Fish, salmon
-
100 g Cheese, mozzarella
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Place a pot with a large amount of water on the stove. While waiting for the water to boil, rinse the broccoli and separate it into individual florets. Just before the water boils, add salt, then add the pasta to the boiling water and cook for the time indicated on the package. During the last four minutes of cooking, add the broccoli to the pot. Drain the cooked pasta and broccoli well.
-
In a larger saucepan, melt the butter. Add the flour and cook it for one minute while constantly stirring. Then gradually pour in the warm milk and mix well to prevent lumps from forming in the sauce. Continue stirring and cooking until the sauce thickens. Season the sauce with pepper and salt to taste. Mix the drained pasta and broccoli into the prepared sauce.
-
Rinse the salmon fillet and dry it well with paper towels. Cut it into smaller pieces and use them to cover the bottom of an ovenproof dish. Cover the pieces with the mixture of pasta, broccoli, and béchamel sauce, then sprinkle grated cheese on top.
-
Place the dish in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and brown nicely. Serve the prepared dish on plates and accompany it with a bowl of seasonal salad.

Enhance the dish by adding chopped sun-dried tomatoes, toasted pine nuts, or freshly chopped basil. Instead of fresh salmon, you can use smoked salmon fillets.
