Ingredients
-
400 g Pasta, Macaroni
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
3 spoons Tomato sauce, without salt
-
400 g Tomato, pieces - can
-
150 g Corn, yellow, in brine
-
230 g Fish, tuna, in oil
-
0.75 teaspoons Salt, table
-
160 g Cheese, edamame
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Peel and finely chop the onion. Drain the corn from the can, rinse well under running water, and drain. Break the tuna into smaller pieces with a fork, then drain to remove excess oil (save the oil).
-
Place a large pan on the stove and heat two tablespoons of the saved oil. Add the chopped onion to the hot oil and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened. Then add the tomato puree and diced tomatoes. Mix well and season with salt to taste. Let the sauce simmer gently for a few minutes over moderate heat.
-
Bring a large pot of water to a boil for cooking the pasta. Just before the water boils, add salt. Add the pasta and cook until al dente (follow the instructions on the package).
-
Drain the cooked pasta and transfer it to the pan with the sauce. Add the tuna pieces and corn. Mix everything well with a spoon, then transfer to a deep baking dish. Top with grated cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 to 10 minutes, until the cheese melts and turns golden brown.

Add a bit of ground chili or dried basil to the sauce if desired. Tomato puree can be replaced with tomato concentrate.
