Baked Pears with Cranberries
Even with ordinary fruit, we can create stunning and heavenly delicious desserts with a few additions. A great example is pears, to which we add some cranberries, wine, and honey before baking. The cranberries give them a red color during baking, and the wine and honey create a delicious sauce to pour over the baked fruit.

Ingredients
-
2 piece Pear, fresh
-
2 spoons Juice, lemon
-
0.5 piece Vanilla, extract, natural
-
3 spoons Honey
-
100 ml Alcohol, Wine, White
-
200 g Cranberries, fresh
-
pieces Ice cream, vanilla
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Peel the pears and cut them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the cores, then place the halves in a smaller deep baking dish (cut side down). Drizzle the pears with lemon juice. Split the vanilla bean in half and scrape out the seeds with the tip of a knife, adding them to a small bowl. Pour in the wine, add the honey, and mix well to create a liquid mixture, which you then pour over the pears. Sprinkle the cranberries over the pears and add the vanilla pod to the baking dish.
-
Bake the pears in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. During baking, baste them several times with the sauce that forms in the dish.
-
Let the baked pears cool slightly, then place them on a board with the cut side down. Using a sharp and thin knife, slice the halves thinly, making sure they stay together. Serve the fanned-out pear halves on a plate and drizzle with the sauce from the baking dish. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and serve the dessert immediately.
