Ingredients
-
1 spoon Oil, olive
-
4 slice Meat, pork, smoked bacon
-
1 piece Leek
-
400 g Fish, tuna, in brine
-
700 g Potatoes, white
-
300 ml Sweet cream
-
100 g Cheese, Parmesan, grated
-
pieces Salt, table
-
pieces Parsley, fresh
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Clean the leek, wash it thoroughly under running water, and finely chop it. Cut the bacon into small pieces. Open the can of tuna and drain the excess liquid.
-
Heat oil in a larger pan. Add the bacon and leek and fry them over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until the bacon is nicely browned and the leek is softened. Add the drained tuna and mix the ingredients well. Season the mixture with pepper and salt to taste, then remove the pan from the heat.
-
Peel the potatoes, wash them, and slice them thinly. Lightly grease a deep baking dish with butter. Arrange half of the potato slices in a single layer on the bottom of the dish, lightly seasoning them with salt and pepper. Cover the potato slices with the mixture of leek, bacon, and tuna. Then cover the mixture with the remaining potato slices and pour cream over them. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
-
After 30 minutes of baking, remove the dish from the oven and take off the aluminum foil. Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the potatoes. Bake for another 30 minutes or until the potatoes are completely tender and the Parmesan is nicely golden brown.
-
Rinse the parsley under running water, shake it dry, and chop it. Serve the prepared dish on plates, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and accompany it with a bowl of seasonal salad.

Advice
Instead of Parmesan, you can use another cheese that melts and bakes well (Gouda, Edam, etc.).
