Ingredients
-
400 g Flour, Whole wheat
-
150 ml Water
-
1 teaspoon Yeast, dry
-
1 pinch Sugar, white
-
2 spoons Syrup, maple
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
10 pieces Spices, cardamom
-
2 piece Banana, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Sesame seeds, dried
Steps
-
Crush the cardamom pods with a knife to open them. Remove the seeds from the pods and grind them in a mortar to obtain a powder. Peel the bananas and mash them with a fork.
-
Mix the flour, water, sugar, yeast, and salt to form a yeast dough. The only difference is that we also add maple syrup, cardamom, and mashed bananas to the dough.
-
Preheat the oven to 50 °C. Grease a baking pan with butter. On a floured surface, quickly knead the risen dough and shape it into a loaf, which is then placed in the baking pan. Lightly brush the loaf with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place the pan in the preheated oven. Set the oven to 220 °C.
-
Bake the banana bread for 45 minutes or until a hollow sound is heard when tapping the bottom. Remove the baked bread from the pan and cool it on a wire rack. Once cooled, slice it and serve.

Advice
Instead of cardamom pods, you can also use pre-ground cardamom seeds, but the aroma of pre-ground seeds bought in stores is weaker than freshly ground ones.
