Ingredients
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
-
3 pieces Banana, fresh
-
120 g Butter, unsalted
-
170 g Sugar, white
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
250 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
0.5 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
120 ml Milk, whole milk
-
100 g chocolate, dark
Steps
-
Place a small pot with butter on the stove and slowly melt it over low heat. Remove the pot with melted butter and let it cool slightly. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grease a deep rectangular baking dish (approximately 26 x 11 cm) well with butter (or line it with baking paper).
-
Peel the bananas and slice them into rounds. Place them in a bowl and mash well with a fork. Add the cooled melted butter, eggs, and sugar. Mix the ingredients in the bowl well with a hand whisk.
-
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Sift the dry ingredients into the bowl with the banana mixture. Mix just enough to moisten all the ingredients, then pour in the milk and add the chocolate chunks. Mix everything together well once more.
-
Spread the batter evenly in the baking dish and smooth the top. Place the dish in the preheated oven for 1 hour. The cake is done when the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Remove the baked cake from the oven and let it cool in the dish for about 10 minutes. Slice the cake while still warm or cold and serve with various spreads or jams.

Advice
Butter can be replaced with coconut oil. If the cake is not baked inside after 60 minutes, bake it for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. If the top is already nicely golden brown, cover it with a piece of baking paper to prevent it from burning.
