Ingredients
-
500 g Green beans, fresh
-
4 pieces Egg, fresh
-
180 g Sour cream
-
120 g Cheese, edamame
-
pieces Salt, table
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Wash and clean the green beans (trim the ends, tips, and any strings). Cut them into a few centimeters long pieces.
-
Bring salted water to a boil in a pot. Add the beans and cook for 15-20 minutes or until they are tender but still firm to the bite. The beans should simmer gently throughout the cooking process.
-
While the beans are cooking, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. In a bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them with a hand whisk. Add sour cream, salt, and pepper, and mix everything well. Then, mix in 2/3 of the grated cheese into the egg mixture.
-
Drain the cooked beans well and mix them into the egg mixture. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish greased with oil or butter. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top. Bake the dish in the preheated oven for about half an hour or until the top is golden brown and baked.
-
Serve the bake while it's still warm. It's excellent as a side dish to meat dishes or as a standalone meal, paired with a bowl of salad.
