Beef Skewers with Bacon

400 g Meat, beef, thigh

200 g Meat, pork, smoked bacon

2 spoons Oil, olive

0.5 teaspoons Salt, table

2 pinch Spices, pepper, black

6 pieces Potatoes, white

80 g Tomato, red

100 g Green beans, fresh

Thoroughly wash the meat and dry it with a kitchen towel. Cut it into larger cubes, which we wrap with slices of bacon. Thread 4 pieces onto a wooden skewer stick. Wash the potatoes and slightly scrape them with a knife. Cut them into 2 to 3 cm thick rings. Wash the tomatoes, remove the green parts, and cut them in half.

Place a pot of salted water on the stove. Clean the green beans (trim the stems and remove any strings), wash them, and drain. Cut them into a few cm long pieces. Optionally, you can halve them lengthwise.

When the water boils, add the beans to the boiling water. The beans must boil continuously while cooking. Cook them for 10 minutes, then test every minute to see if they are done. They should be cooked but still firm. Drain the cooked beans well.

While the beans are cooking, prepare and heat the grill. Heat and oil the grill grate. Arrange the prepared skewers, potato rings, and tomato halves on the grill. Cook the meat for about 5 minutes on each side. Roast the potatoes for 10 minutes, turning them several times during cooking. Roast the tomatoes for a maximum of 5 minutes. While grilling, lightly salt and pepper the meat, potatoes, and tomatoes.

On the plate, first serve the green beans and tomatoes. Place the grilled skewer on top of the vegetable mound, and arrange some potato rings around it. Serve the prepared dish while still warm.
