Ingredients
-
4 pieces Meat, beef, thigh
-
1.5 piece Onion, raw
-
1 spoon Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
25 g Butter, unsalted
-
1 spoon Tomato, concentrate
-
1 dl Alcohol, Wine, White
-
1.5 dl Soup base, beef, cube
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
3 twigs Parsley, fresh
Steps
-
Rinse the steaks under running water, dry them with paper towels, and lightly pound them on both sides. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Rinse the parsley, shake it dry, and finely chop it. Peel the onion, rinse it, and finely chop it.
-
Place a larger pan on the stove and heat the butter and oil in it. Sear the steaks on both sides in the heated fat. Cook them for about 3 minutes on each side. Transfer the cooked steaks to a plate, and add the onion to the pan. Sauté the onion over low heat, stirring occasionally, until it softens. Lightly salt the onion while sautéing.
-
Add tomato paste to the pan, then pour in the wine and broth. Increase the heat slightly and stir until the sauce comes to a boil. Let the sauce simmer for about 1 minute. Reduce the heat and return the steaks to the pan. Cover the pan and cook the steaks in the sauce until they become tender (approximately 20 to 30 minutes).
-
Serve the steaks on plates, pour the sauce over them, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with your chosen side dish.
