Ingredients
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
220 ml Alcohol, Beer
-
220 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
4 pieces Frankfurter
Steps
-
In a large bowl, sift the flour and mix it with salt. In another bowl, crack the eggs and lightly whisk them with a hand whisk. Mix the whisked eggs with beer and pour the mixture into the bowl with flour. Mix the ingredients well (with a hand whisk or mixer) to obtain a thick, smooth batter without lumps.
-
Heat the frying oil in a tall pot (the temperature should be between 180 and 190 degrees Celsius). Cut the hot dogs in half. Roll the halves in cornmeal, skewer them on wooden sticks, and dip them into the beer batter. Wait 1 to 2 seconds for the excess batter to drip off, then dip them into the hot oil. Fry them for 1 to 2 minutes, and when they turn a nice golden brown, remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
-
Serve the hot dogs on plates. Serve them with ketchup, or they are also excellent with mustard cream sauce.
