Ingredients

1.5 kg Meat, pork, smoked ham

1.5 teaspoons Salt, table

2 piece Spices, bay (leaves)
Steps

Place the ham in a large pot and cover it completely with cold water. Add salt and bay leaves, then place the pot on the stove. Cook the ham on medium heat for 90 minutes.

Once the ham is cooked, remove the pot from the heat and let the ham cool in the water it was cooked in (preferably overnight).

Transfer the cooled ham from the pot to a cutting board and slice it into desired thickness. Serve with horseradish as a side.

Advice
For every kilogram of ham, count approximately one hour of cooking. Be careful when adding salt so that the meat is not too salty. It is best to taste the ham before cooking it. If the ham is cooled in the water it was cooked in, the meat will be juicier.
