150 ml Alcohol, Wine, Red

150 ml Soup base, beef, cube

2 piece Spices, bay (leaves)

1 teaspoon Spices, oregano, dried

Steps

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Clean and peel (or scrape) the carrot and dice it. Wash the celery stalk and cut it into smaller pieces. Place a larger pan on the stove and heat it up, then add the oil. Quickly brown the ground meat in the oil. Then add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery, mix well, and continue sautéing for a few more minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Add the tomatoes along with their liquid and crush them with a fork. Wait for the sauce to come to a boil. Then pour in the wine and broth, and add the bay leaf, thyme, and oregano. Mix the sauce well. Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 40 minutes. Stir it well several times during cooking.

Advice
The prepared sauce can be used for various dishes (e.g., pasta, lasagna, cannelloni…). If you are preparing the sauce in larger quantities, it is best to make it a day in advance, as it tastes even better the next day. The sauce can also be frozen.
