Ingredients
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
-
300 g Potatoes, white
-
3 pieces Egg, fresh
-
250 ml Milk, whole milk
-
3 spoons Sour cream
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, pepper, black
-
1.5 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
0.25 bouquet Parsley, fresh
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grease a deep baking dish well with butter. Cut the bread into approximately 1 cm cubes. Peel the onion and finely chop it. Rinse the parsley sprigs under running water, shake them dry, and chop them.
-
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onion while stirring until it softens. Lightly salt the onion while sautéing. Add the parsley, mix well, and remove the pan from the heat.
-
Place the bread cubes in a bowl. In a smaller bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, salt, and pepper with a hand whisk. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes. Mix the ingredients in the bowl well with a spoon so that all the bread cubes are evenly moistened. Finally, mix in the sautéed onion and parsley mixture.
-
Transfer the mixture from the bowl to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spoon. Place the dish in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, allowing the pudding to rise nicely and turn golden brown on top.
-
Remove the baking dish with the pudding from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Then, serve it on plates and accompany it with a bowl of salad.
