Ingredients
-
40 g Butter, unsalted
-
2 piece Onion, raw
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
500 g Meat, chicken, liver
-
100 ml Alcohol, Wine, Red
-
2 pinch Salt, table
-
1 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
pieces Bread, wheat
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Clean the chicken livers and cut them into small pieces. Peel the onion and cut it in half. Cut all halves into slightly thicker slices. Peel the garlic and finely chop it.
-
Melt the butter in a pan. Add the onion and sauté it, stirring occasionally, until it becomes translucent. Add the garlic, wait until it becomes fragrant, then add the livers. Sauté while stirring until all the liver pieces are nicely browned, then pour in the wine. Use a spatula to scrape the bottom well to release all the caramelized bits that formed during sautéing. Cook over moderate heat until the wine evaporates, then season with pepper and salt to taste.
-
Arrange the bread slices in a baking dish and place them in the preheated oven for 3 minutes. Coarsely chop the parsley and mix it into the sautéed livers.
-
Take the toasted bread slices out of the oven, top them with the sautéed livers, serve on a plate or platter, and enjoy.
