Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

1 kg Okra, sprouts, fresh

Clean the Brussels sprouts and wash them thoroughly. Cut the bacon into smaller pieces. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Finely chop the hazelnut kernels. Place a larger pot with 1.2 liters of salted water on the stove. When the water boils, add the Brussels sprouts, cover with a lid, and cook for about 30 minutes over moderate heat. Five minutes before the end of cooking, sprinkle the Brussels sprouts with ground paprika.

Meanwhile, place a pan on the stove, heat the oil, and fry the bacon, onion, garlic, and chopped hazelnut kernels.

Thoroughly drain the Brussels sprouts and transfer them to the pan with the fried bacon, onion, garlic, and hazelnut kernels. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well. Serve on plates, garnished with almonds.
