Ingredients
-
170 g Butter, unsalted
-
100 g Sugar, white
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
pieces Lemon zest, fresh
-
210 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour
-
pieces Marmalade, orange
-
pieces Powdered sugar
Steps
-
In a bowl, place softened butter and sugar, and mix the ingredients with an electric mixer. Add vanilla extract and lemon zest. Mix again.
-
Add flour and mix carefully. At first, the dough will resemble crumbs, but then it will start to come together. Stop mixing at that point.
-
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place spoonfuls of dough on it, spacing them slightly apart. Shape the dough into balls, then gently press your thumb into each one to create a hole where the jam will be placed later. Chill the cookies in the refrigerator for one hour to help them hold their shape during baking.
-
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Fill the holes in the cookies with jam, using two spoons to help if needed.
-
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 18 minutes. Once cooled, you can dust them with powdered sugar if desired.
