Ingredients
-
150 g Butter, unsalted
-
220 g Sugar, brown
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
125 ml Milk, partially skimmed
-
400 g Milk, whole milk
Steps
-
Line a small square baking dish (20 x 20 cm) with parchment paper. Cut the butter into smaller pieces so it melts faster.
-
Place the butter pieces in a saucepan and set it on the stove over medium-high heat. Once the butter melts, add sugar, vanilla extract, regular milk, and condensed milk. Mix everything well with a whisk and cook until the sugar completely dissolves and you get a smooth and liquid mixture. Once the sugar dissolves, lower the heat and simmer the mixture for 15 minutes. Stir constantly to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
-
Remove the saucepan from the heat and continue stirring the mixture for 10 minutes, then pour it into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it for 6 hours to fully set.
-
Take the cooled mixture out of the refrigerator and carefully remove it from the baking dish. Cut it into small squares, arrange them on a serving plate, and serve.
