Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a baking dish of appropriate size with baking paper (or lightly grease it with oil). Rinse the chicken thighs under running water and thoroughly dry them with paper towels.

In a bowl, prepare the marinade using soy sauce, honey, ginger, oil, salt, and ground pepper. Mix the ingredients well to create a uniform mixture. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and mix everything together thoroughly once more.

Transfer the chicken thighs to the prepared baking dish and brush them with the remaining marinade. Place the dish in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes. Turn the thighs several times during baking to ensure they brown evenly on all sides.
