1 kg Carrot, fresh

15 dag Butter, unsalted

6 dl Milk, partially skimmed

10 dag Nuts, almonds, roasted without oil, unsalted

10 dag Sugar, brown

10 dag Raisins

0.5 teaspoons Spices, cardamom

Peel the carrots well, wash them, and grate them finely. Sort the raisins, wash them, and drain them. In a larger pot, melt the butter and sauté the carrots on it for a few minutes (about 4 minutes). Stir constantly during sautéing. Add milk, almonds, sugar, and raisins. Mix well and cook covered over moderate heat for another 25 minutes.

Remove the cooked halva from the heat and transfer it to a plate. Carefully shape it into small balls. Sprinkle cardamom on top and wait for it to cool completely. Then serve.
