Cheese Roll
The preparation of a cheese roll might seem a bit unusual, as instead of sponge cake, we use cheese slices that are melted in the oven. The final product will amaze you both in appearance and taste, and the cheese roll will become an indispensable companion for holidays and home gatherings.

Steps

Using an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter and cheese spread. Mix in the chopped eggs, chives, and finely diced bell pepper. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.

Line a roll baking dish with parchment paper. Slice the cheese into thin slices (about the same thickness as toast cheese). Arrange them over the entire surface of the baking dish, slightly overlapping at the "joints." This is necessary so that the cheese melts together evenly. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place it in the oven preheated to 100 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.

While the cheese is still warm, remove it from the baking dish along with the parchment paper. If needed, roll over it with a rolling pin to ensure the slices stick together well. Spread ham slices over the cheese, then evenly spread the prepared filling over it, leaving about a centimeter of the edge unspread on one side. Roll the ingredients along the longer side, starting from the side that is fully covered with the filling and ending at the side with the unspread edge. This will help the roll seal better.

Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours to cool and firm up. Before serving, sprinkle the top with paprika powder if desired, slice it, and serve on a plate or platter.
