Ingredients
-
500 g Meat, ground turkey
-
3 pieces Apple, fresh
-
3 twigs Parsley, fresh
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, thyme, dried
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, oregano, dried
-
0.25 teaspoons Basil, fresh
-
0.25 teaspoons Rosemary, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
1.5 spoons Butter, unsalted
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
60 g Cheese, cottage cheese
-
120 g Cheese, mozzarella
-
100 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
pieces Oil, plant, sunflower
Steps
-
Wash, dry, and finely chop the parsley. In a small bowl, mix thyme, oregano, parsley, basil, and rosemary. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash, peel, and finely grate the apples. In a large bowl, mix the ground pork, chopped garlic, herb mixture, grated apples, salt, and pepper.
-
In a small pan, heat the butter over moderate heat. Once the butter is hot, add the onion to the pan. Sauté it just until it becomes translucent. Add the sautéed onion to the bowl with the other ingredients. In a small bowl, mix the eggs and cottage cheese. Add this mixture to the bowl and knead all the ingredients well with your hands.
-
Cut the mozzarella into cubes. Place each cube in the center of the meat mixture and shape it into a ball. In a small bowl, place the breadcrumbs and roll the meatballs in them until evenly coated.
-
In a larger pan, heat the oil and fry the meatballs in it – a few at a time. Fry them until they turn a nice brown color, approximately four to five minutes. Remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels. Repeat the process until all the meatballs are fried.

Advice
The meatballs can be served with various sauces. Fry them in a large amount of fat. The food should float in it. For frying, use fats that do not contain water, such as coconut oil or good quality oil. The fat is hot enough for frying when small bubbles form around a wooden spoon handle.
