Cherries in Red Wine with Mascarpone Cream

1 piece Orange, fresh

250 ml Alcohol, Wine, Red

100 g Sugar, white

450 g Cherries, fresh

250 g Cheese, creamy

2 spoons Honey
Steps

Cut five pieces of orange peel with as little white part as possible and place them in a pot with red wine and sugar. Heat over medium heat until it reaches a slight boil, then add the cherries and cook for another five minutes.

Remove the cherries from the heat and strain them into serving glasses. Let them cool slightly.

Just before serving, mix the mascarpone and honey and divide the cream into the glasses. Serve the dessert with a glass of dessert red wine if desired.
