Ingredients
Cream
-
250 g Cheese, creamy
-
50 g Powdered sugar
-
120 ml Sweet cream
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
pieces Breadcrumbs, dried
cherries
-
2 cups cherries, fresh
-
2 spoons Sugar, white
-
60 ml Water
-
1 spoon Koruzni škrob
Steps
-
Place the cookies into a bag. Close the open end of the bag with your hand so that the cookies don’t escape while crushing. Hit the bag a few times with a rolling pin to crush the cookies into small pieces.
-
Prepare the glasses in which you will serve the dessert and first add the crushed cookies to them. If desired, you can drizzle the cookies with a little rum or cherry brandy.
-
Prepare the cream. In a bowl, add cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cream. Mix the ingredients with an electric mixer until you get a thick cream. Transfer it to a piping bag and pipe it onto the cookies using any nozzle. If you don’t have a piping bag, simply spoon the cream onto the cookies. Store the glasses in the refrigerator.
-
Finally, prepare the cherries. If using fresh cherries, wash and pit them. Place the cherries in a small pot and add sugar and water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then let the cherries simmer over moderate heat for 10-15 minutes until they soften. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, smoothly mix a tablespoon of starch with a tablespoon of water. Pour the mixture into the pot and let the cherries cook for another 1-2 minutes. Once the cherries are ready, remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature (you can also chill it further in the refrigerator if desired).
-
When ready to serve, take the glasses out of the refrigerator and top the cream with the cooked cherries.

Advice
If we don’t have fresh or frozen cherries on hand, we can also use cherries from compote.
