220 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

75 g Powdered sugar

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, powdered sugar, and salt. Mix the ingredients and sprinkle the cold butter, cut into cubes, on top. Using your fingertips, work the butter into the dry ingredients, lifting the mixture to make it airy and crumbly. Add the egg yolk and cold water, and with cold hands, knead everything together into a dough. Shape it into a ball, flatten it into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 60 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F). Line a round (26 cm diameter) or rectangular (approximately 33 x 23 cm) pie dish with parchment paper. In a bowl, smoothly mix the mascarpone and combine it with the eggs, sugar, ground almonds, and grated chocolate.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to a thickness of 5 mm and place it in the prepared pie dish. Create a nice edge and prick it in several places with a fork. Pour the filling over the dough and scatter the cherries on top. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes.

Once the pie is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the dish it was prepared in. Once cooled, slice the pie into pieces, serve on a plate, and offer with a beverage of your choice.
