Ingredients
-
500 g Dough, puff
-
60 g Powdered sugar
filling
-
1.5 kg cherries, fresh
-
80 g Powdered sugar
-
80 g Breadcrumbs, dried
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a shallow baking tray with baking paper. Wash the cherries and drain them thoroughly.
-
Divide the dough into two parts and roll each one out on a floured work surface to a thickness of 0.4 cm in a rectangular shape. Evenly sprinkle the cherries in the middle of the rolled-out dough, then sprinkle with two tablespoons of sugar and two tablespoons of cookie crumbs. Fold the left and right thirds of the dough over the filling. Tuck the ends of the roll inward and press the dough with your fingers to prevent the filling from escaping during baking. Repeat the same process with the second roll.
-
Carefully place the rolls in the baking tray, pierce them several times with a fork or skewer, and bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes.
-
Remove the baked rolls from the oven and let them cool. Dust them with powdered sugar, cut into desired-sized pieces, arrange on a serving plate, and serve.
