Chicken Breast in Creamy Paprika Sauce

0.5 piece Bell pepper, red, fresh

1 piece Onion, raw

3 pods Garlic, fresh

600 g Meat, chicken, breasts

4 spoon Oil, olive

2 dl Water

1 teaspoon Salt, table

2 pinch Spices, pepper, black

1 teaspoon Spices, dill, dried

200 ml Sour cream

Clean the bell peppers as needed, wash them, and cut them into thin strips. Peel the onion and chop it finely. Peel the garlic and chop it as well. Leave the vegetables on the work surface and focus on the meat.

Wash the chicken breast fillets and dry them with a paper towel. Lightly salt them. Place a pan on the stove and add a little olive oil. Once the oil is heated, add the meat to the pan and sear it on both sides (about 4 minutes per side). While searing, ensure the temperature is moderate.

Once the fillets are seared on both sides, transfer them to a plate. Add the onion to the pan and sauté it just until it becomes translucent. Then add the garlic to the pan and quickly mix everything together. Pour a little water into the pan, season with salt and pepper, and add dill. After 5 minutes of cooking on low heat, add the sour cream and mix the sauce well. The sour cream should dissolve evenly. Return the meat to the pan and cook everything together for another 3 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat. Serve the meat on plates or a platter, pour the sauce over it, and garnish with the sliced bell peppers. Serve warm.

Advice
Instead of sour cream, you can use cooking cream. Fresh basil, oregano … also pair excellently with the sauce.
