Ingredients
-
6 pieces Meat, pork, smoked bacon
-
800 g Meat, chicken, breasts
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
3 pods Garlic, fresh
-
300 ml Soup base, chicken, cube
-
250 g Beans, fresh
-
4 spoon Sour cream
-
pieces Salt, table
Steps
-
Rinse the chicken breasts, pat them dry with paper towels, and lightly season with pepper and salt. Peel the onion and garlic, then finely chop them separately. Cut the bacon slices into smaller pieces.
-
Place a large, deep pan on the stove and fry the bacon pieces on both sides. Once most of the fat has rendered and the bacon turns golden brown, remove it from the pan and set it aside on a plate.
-
Sear the seasoned chicken breasts in the hot bacon fat. Cook them for about 4 minutes on each side, then remove them from the pan and set aside. Add the chopped onion to the pan and sauté it over moderate heat until translucent, stirring occasionally. Then add the garlic and cook the mixture for another minute while stirring. Pour in the broth and return the seared chicken and bacon pieces to the pan. Cover the pan and simmer the dish over moderate heat for 15 minutes.
-
After 15 minutes, add the peas to the pan, increase the heat, and cover the pan again. Cook for another 5 minutes until the peas soften, then remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the sour cream into the sauce, and season with additional salt and pepper if needed. Serve the prepared dish with your chosen side.

Advice
Instead of chicken breasts, you can use boneless, skinless chicken thighs. In season, replace frozen peas with fresh ones, but they will require longer cooking time - add them to the pan along with the chicken and bacon pieces.
