Chicken Kiev
Chicken Kiev was invented in the 18th century by the French chef Nicolas Appert for Russian nobles who preferred French delicacies over traditional Russian cuisine. Who could blame them, as the dish is truly divine. The dish got its current name later, in New York restaurants, where they wanted to attract numerous Russian immigrants.

Ingredients
-
3 pieces Meat, chicken, breasts
-
200 g Butter, unsalted
-
2 spoons Parsley, fresh
-
3 pods Garlic, fresh
-
0.75 teaspoons Salt, table
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, pepper, white
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
100 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour
-
130 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Peel and finely chop the garlic. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the butter, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper to form a uniform mixture.
-
Wash and dry the chicken breasts, then cut them in half to get 6 pieces. Make a slit in each piece to create a pocket, which we fill with the butter mixture. Place the stuffed chicken in a shallow bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the butter to solidify.
-
Beat the eggs in a deep plate. Place the flour in a second plate and the breadcrumbs in a third. Dip the chicken pieces first in the eggs, then in the flour, then back in the eggs, and finally coat them in breadcrumbs.
-
Heat a deep pan and add about 2 centimeters of oil, heating it well. Fry the chicken pieces in the hot oil for 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Ensure each piece has enough space in the pan. Use tongs to turn the chicken, as piercing it during cooking should be avoided. The chicken should be golden brown. Place the cooked chicken on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
-
Serve the chicken pieces on plates with your chosen side dish. Warn your guests to eat carefully, as the butter inside the chicken is very hot.
