Ingredients
-
2 spoons Oil, olive
-
1 spoon Butter, unsalted
-
400 g Meat, chicken, breasts
-
300 g Onion, raw
-
250 g Mushrooms, mushrooms, fresh
-
2 dl Sweet cream
-
1 kg Potatoes, white
-
2 dl Sour cream
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
pieces Salt, table
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grease a deep baking dish with butter.
-
Boil the potatoes in their skins in salted water for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, slice the onion and mushrooms, and cut the meat into bite-sized pieces. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
-
Heat oil in a pan. Add butter and wait for it to melt, then cook the seasoned meat pieces in two batches for just two minutes on the hot fat.
-
Remove the meat from the pan and set it aside on a plate. Add the onion to the pan and sauté until golden brown. Season with salt. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until slightly browned. Return the meat pieces to the pan, pour in the cooking cream, stir, and remove from heat.
-
Peel the potatoes and slice them into pieces no thicker than half a centimeter. Layer half of the slices in the baking dish, slightly overlapping. Pour the chicken sauce over the potatoes, smooth it out, then add another layer of potato slices.
-
Finally, mix the sour cream and egg. Season with salt and pepper, stir, and pour over the potatoes. Bake the moussaka in the preheated oven for 50 minutes.
