Ingredients
-
500 g Dough, puff
-
2 piece Egg, egg yolk, fresh
-
150 g Meat, chicken, breasts
-
1 spoon Juice, lemon
-
5 spoon Oil, olive
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
4 pieces Tomato, red
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
Soup
-
125 ml Mayonnaise
-
125 ml Yogurt, plain, from skimmed milk
-
1 teaspoon Mustard
-
1 teaspoon Juice, lemon
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
Steps
-
Wash the chicken meat, dry it thoroughly, and cut it into long, thin strips. Coat the strips with a mixture of three tablespoons of olive oil, one tablespoon of lemon juice, and a quarter teaspoon of salt. Let the meat marinate.
-
Roll out the puff pastry on a floured work surface to about 0.5 cm thick. Use a larger hexagonal cutter (or a glass with a diameter of 6 cm) to cut out several base pieces from the pastry. Use a smaller round cutter (5 cm diameter) to cut out smaller circles from the center of half of the pieces to create pastry rings.
-
In a small bowl, beat the egg yolk with a fork. Place the whole pastry pieces on a lightly greased baking tray, then brush them with the beaten egg yolk. Prick them several times with a fork and attach one pastry ring to each. The smaller circles cut out can be used as lids. Place them on the baking tray and brush them well with egg yolk.
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Prepare a longer piece of aluminum foil, fold it several times, and shape it into rings. Place these rings inside the pastries to reinforce the space for the filling. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. Once the pastries are baked, remove the tray from the oven and let the pastries cool.
-
Take the chicken meat out of the marinade and cut it into smaller pieces. Place a pan on the stove and heat it well, then add oil. Add the chicken meat to the pan and cook it while stirring until it turns golden brown on all sides. In a separate bowl, mix the ingredients for the sauce.
-
Thoroughly wash and clean the tomatoes, then cut them into smaller pieces. In a larger bowl, combine the tomato pieces, the cooked chicken, and the sauce, and mix everything well. Season the prepared filling with pepper to taste. Fill the baked pastries with the prepared filling, arrange them on a serving platter, cover with the lids, and serve.
